Step by step

1. 1

   Step 1: Go to Sell something (Sell on a phone) and choose your business under Selling as. Myself is selected to start with, which would list it as you, not your business.

   Step 2: Select Choose photos (on a phone you can also Take a photo). Add up to 12; the first one is the cover. Then select Continue, as you will after each step.

   Step 3: Add a title, choose a category and add the price. If the price depends on options, such as size, tick Show as a starting price to show it as From £X.

   Step 4: Choose a Condition if the category asks for one, then One-off item or Ongoing product (made to order, or kept in stock). Under Allow offers? (set to No to start with), choose whether buyers can offer a different price.

   Step 5: Answer any questions about the item. Some categories have none, and then this step is skipped.

   Step 6: Write a description and choose how it can be bought: Collection, Local delivery or both.

7. 7

   Step 7: Choose which of your business's locations has it. If your business has no locations yet, add a postcode instead.

   Step 8: Check the preview and select Publish listing. It appears on your storefront, and you'll see Your listing is live! with a link to share.
